Whether four or sixteen people - riding a trolley is a pleasure that thrills young and old excursionists. With the "bicycle on rails" you can enjoy the multifaceted park landscape in the Ammerland in a different way. Twelve bicycle trolleys (4 pers.) and three club trolleys (16 pers.) have been purring back and forth on the disused track between Westerstede and the district of Ocholt since 2006 - from April 1 to October 15. Fun for four: Two pedal hard and two sit on the bench and let themselves be driven comfortably through the wonderful natural idyll of the Ammerland. There are a few rules for the trolley ride, because everything runs on one track here.
Three stations invite you to take a break along the seven-kilometer route. At the end of the track, the trolleys are simply turned around and it's a brisk ride back to the start. The trolley station is located on the grounds of the G. D. Boehlje tree nursery in Westerstede, the oldest tree nursery in the Ammerland region with over 160 years of tradition.
